إنَّ الفيل بخرطومه يتناول أغصان الأشجار بسهولة، و الخرطوم عضو خاصّ يتألّف من الأنف و الفم. يقولون إنَّ الفيل يستطيع أن يأخذ بخرطومه حبّة السكّر من يد الطّفل! إنّه أداة اللّمس و الشّرب و التّنظيف و الحمل و المعركة!
الفيل حيوان حذر لا يقع أبدًا في فخّ الصيّاد بنفسه و لا يرتكب خطأً ارتكبه مرّةً و رأى نتائجه ...! فإذا وقع يومًا في حفرة فإنّه لا يمرّ بذلك الطّريق طول حياته. الفيل يحافظ على صغاره و يواظب عليها في جوّ عائليّ حارّ!
وهب الله الفيل أنيابًا للدّفاع عن نفسه لكنّها أصبحت وبالًا عليه حين يطمع الصيّادون بها ليبيعوها و يحصلوا على أموال و نقود! الفيل لا يصيد الحيوانات فهو حيوان يعيش على أكل النباتات. إنّه يقضي ١٦ ساعة في البحث عن غذائه و لا ينام إلّا ثلاث أو أربع ساعات، و وزنه يصل إلى ستّة أطنان و يعمر حتّى ٧٠ سنة!

٣٤- إملأ الفراغ: من صفات الفيل العجيبة .....

1. أنّه لا يأكل لحم الحيوانات! (2) وجود أنياب له يدافع بها عن نفسه!
